| Name: Richie Kirrstetter | Date: 5/3/2009 | I am retired from the New York City Fire Department (FDNY), Ladder 33 & Ladder 17. A member of the New York City Fire Department Honor Legion. I now proudly live in a small town in North Carolina....Lansing, settled in the mountains on the Virginia & Tenn. border. I am Safety Chief & Training Officer with the Lansing Volunteer Fire & Rescue Dept. Yesterday along with my Brothers in the Ashe County Honor Guard we were proud to be a part of such a beautiful Memorial service. The NCFFF has done themselves PROUD. A Tip "O" the Helmet to all of you. I met Andy Woodall back in 2003 when I was doing a 9-11 Memorial Service in Raleigh,& Chapel Hill. A lot of my Brothers from the FDNY purchased your Memorial plaques as gifts for retired Brothers. Is Andy still doing his Elvis impersonations??? On behalf of the Lansing, NC Fire & Rescue Department, and the Ashe County Honor Guard, thank you for all you do on behalf of our Fallen firefighters and their families Richie Kirrstetter Retired FDNY Safety Chief Lansing,NC Fire & Rescue

| Name: Gilbert L. LaRowe | Date: 5/3/2009 | | I did not know this existed until I saw it on the news today. I was so proud when I found my Grandfathers name (G.W. Kimball - Winston-Salem, NC, 1934.) I never had the opportunity to know him but his death in the line of duty has alway made me have an appreciation for firemen. I know that my Grandmother would be so proud today if she could see is name on this memorial. | EMail: laro6688@bellsouth.net
